Mystery GenreWe are spending time looking at what makes a mystery. The 2nd & 3rd grade students completed a "Reading Interest" survey and we found that this genre is popular with our students.
In 2nd grade library, we will be taking a closer look at GENRES and talking about the characteristics of each. The goal is to expose students to a variety of different reading material, so that they can find what they like to read. In library, we have been introducing students to many great mystery series and some great detectives! Students also get to try their hand at solving mysteries themselves. |

In this fun re-telling of "Goldie Locks and the Three Bears," students learned about finding a "just right" book. Goldie Socks met the three li-BEAR-ians and in the process found a book that was just right for her!
Students then had a chance to find a "just right" book and to test it with the 5-finger rule.
